How to Donate
What, Where & WhenCalendar
We collect hundreds of items throughout the year that are used to to fill shoeboxes at our annual Packing Party. If you would like to join us, here’s a list of what we collect and when.
January
Hygiene items, such as soap, washcloths, combs and brushes.
February
High-quality stuffed animals. (Keep in mind, they need to fit in a shoebox!)
March
Toothbrushes (but no toothpaste or mouthwash).
April
Fun items, like small toys, books, and stickers.
May
Girl’s clothing, including socks and shoes.
June
Boy’s clothing, including socks and shoes.
July
Accessories like jewelry, hair clips, and sunglasses, and useful items like fishing tackle, sewing items, etc.
August
School supplies, like pencils, pens, paper, small notebooks, crayons, markers and other helpful items.
September
Cold weather items, such as hats, scarves, mittens, as well as supplies such as yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks.
October
Letters for children, as well as a $10.00 love offering to help cover the cost of shipping.
November
Join us for our Annual Packing Party as we bring all of these wonderful donations together and pack shoeboxes.

There are several ways that you can join us and donate items to fill shoeboxes. Here are a few of them:
Hunt for Bargains
Lots of stores offer cute items like toys and stuffed animals, for just a dollar. You can also find huge discounts on things after a holiday season is over. These items make great gifts! Have items you’d like to donate? Just let us know!
Buy in Bulk
Have you been to the Shoebox Supply House in Shippensburg? We love this place! You can find great deals on lots of quality items that are perfect for shoeboxes at their warehouse. Be sure to check out their website.
Make a Gift
Handmade items are gifts that are full of love! You can put your talents to good use by knitting, crocheting, carving, sewing and making beautiful gifts. Need inspiration? Check out the Shoebox Stashbusters group on Facebook!

Join Us
Volunteering with Operation Christmas Child can take many forms but has one purpose—to bring the Gospel to children in need around the world. By serving year-round with Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child, you will be a part of proclaiming the Gospel in more than 100 countries.
God has uniquely gifted you to serve! You can use your talents and abilities together with other volunteers around the world to bring Good News and great joy to children in need and their families through shoebox gifts.
