June Collections:
For the month of June we will be collecting boys’ clothing items, including socks and shoes.
We’ve tried to make it easy for you to donate the items you collect. Here are some ways that you can donate items:
1. There is a collection box in the lobby at Littlestown Chapel where you can drop off your items on Sunday mornings beginning at 10:30 a.m.
2. Send us message to let us know you have items ready! We can arrange for a convenient time for you to drop them off.
3. You can also contact us to let us know that you have items that you would like for us to pick up. We’re happy to do that anytime!
Waiting With Open Arms
Have you ever misplaced something and then went in a frantic search for it – sometimes retracing your steps to perhaps the one place where you might have left that very item? Or have you gone to retrieve something, but forgot why you went in that room in the first place and then retraced your steps in hopes you would remember? Sound familiar?
I have a FitBit and my many steps can attest to all the searching I typically do! Have you ever felt that finding God can be that way? Perhaps you knew Him, but somewhere along the way you lost Him. Maybe you went down a wrong path; let other distractions lead you in a wrong direction. Perhaps you had questions that couldn’t be answered so in frustration or disappointment you just walked away. Have you ever felt that all you really wanted was love and acceptance? Finding God is just that!! When you set off in a very purposeful, methodical, undistracted search – with all your heart and soul – you will find him. When you retrace your steps and then with all your heart and soul you seek Him…He will be there. He wasn’t lost to you – He’s been waiting for you with open arms – no condemnation; just love.
“…and he went out to meet Asa and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: The LORD is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.” 2 Chronicles 15:2
Father, when we face uncertainty, remind us to see you with all of our hearts in a focused, undistracted way. You’ve been so faithful to keep this promise and reveal your will to us. Thank you! Amen
Send Your Child on The Greatest Journey!
A festive Operation Christmas Child outreach event was held earlier this year in a remote Cambodian village. Chaya, an 11-year-old girl who struggled with anger, was one of 120 children who received a gift-filled shoebox. She marveled at all the wonderful gifts, but she was especially captivated when she heard the Gospel.
When Chaya realized how much God loved her, she invited Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior. She then participated in The Greatest Journey, the 12-lesson discipleship course created by Samaritan’s Purse for shoebox recipients. After she graduated from the course, Chaya eagerly began sharing what she learned with her family and friends—and out of that a vibrant and growing house church was born!
Now, your child can learn more about Jesus through our Greatest Journey Bible app, which takes its inspiration from the discipleship program loved by Chaya and millions of other boys and girls around the world! In the app, which features a time-traveling, space-themed twist, kids play through the lessons and engage the Scriptures in a fresh and exciting new way. This great resource is available for FREE, with no in-app purchases or advertisements. Download it today and send your child on the Greatest Journey of their lives!

National Project Leader Workshop
The 2021 National Project Leader Workshop will be held September 10-11. Friday evening, September 10 at 7PM will be the Project Leader Season Launch Virtual Event. This will be approximately 45 minutes of inspiration designed to cast vision and increase passion in Project Leaders. Content will focus on stories from the Pacific islands, unreached people groups, and church planting initiatives. We will also heavily promote the value of Area Teams and urge participants to attend a local workshop the next day.
The following day, September 11, local area teams will host workshops with practical, hands-on content. Resources provided by OCC will equip you to lead a workshop that takes a deeper dive into equipping, heavily focused on tips and “how-tos.”
